Daniel Bennett brings more than 25 years of investment banking, investment management, and financial markets experience to his work with business owners, families, and international investors.

As Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Advanced Portfolio Strategies, Daniel leads the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio construction, combining institutional-level market experience with practical, highly personalized wealth planning. His approach is grounded in rigorous analysis and a simple objective: turn complex financial, investment, and economic issues into clear strategies clients can understand and act on.

Daniel began his career in brokerage and corporate finance at Drake Capital Securities in Santa Monica before earning his Master’s in Finance from London Business School. He went on to spend nearly a decade in investment banking, working in Lisbon, Madrid, and New York and ultimately serving as Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales for Espírito Santo Securities. He also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designations.
A fourth-generation Californian, Daniel returned to Los Angeles in 2003 with his wife, Vanda, and their two daughters after nearly a decade living and working abroad. That experience continues to shape his perspective today. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, he brings an international outlook to investing while maintaining deep roots in Southern California.

Away from the markets, Daniel is an avid tennis player, golfer and skier who enjoys backcountry hiking and traveling whenever he gets the chance. Whether discussing markets, business, or the next place worth exploring, curiosity remains a constant in both his professional and personal life.
